Now I urge to you take a look.

If you go to the link, you can actually browse inside the book.

The reviews are actually good, lol! I suppose it's helpful for the people it's marketed to...but I certainly don't get it either.

What looks weird to us appears to be a statisticians dream who are happy to pay $80 bucks for one million randomly generated numbers for research.

I was amazed with all the reviews it had but they're bizarre. Looks like a prank of they went to mechanical turk and paid for some reviews.

This review is from: A Million Random Digits with 100,000 Normal Deviates (Paperback)
"A Million Random Digits with 100,000 Normal Deviates" by RAND Corporation defines literature as art. Here we find the best that Mr. Corporation can offer -- enigmatic prose, rich style, emotional resonance, complex development, social commentary and perhaps even haunting tragedy.
Wow! The 1,000,000 random digits produced by the Rand Corporation are some of the best random digits out there! I was amazed at some of their selections. For example: would YOU have conceived of the sequence 35462? Or 239877687468? Or 776834689765872643756324876 (one of my personal favorites). This is fine, fine work. Kudos to the folks at Rand on this most fascinating tract that truly keeps one on the edge of his seat.
    And on and on.

    Interesting:

One review said they used it to generate random telephone numbers to call for some study, and he ended up marrying the woman at the other end of one of the numbers! They could be pimping it to the dating crowd

I'm no programmer but doesn't it take like 5-10 lines of code to create a million random digits?

Well, the one that said he met his wife said they had been married 10 years now, and the book has only been published 8 years ago.

    lol.. the first review says:

Such a terrific reference work! But with so many terrific random digits, it's a shame they didn't sort them, to make it easier to find the one you're looking for.
If you need to 'find' a random digit, what's so random about it?

The bulk of each page seems random enough. However at the lower left and lower right of alternate pages, the number is found to increment directly.
Are they talking about page numbers?
