Warriors,
In an effort to clarify a couple of things regarding donations for KimW

There are two ways you can donate (or BOTH)

Via his personal blog page at: Maj's Kidney
This goes directly to Kim personally, not to the Kidney Foundation

Via his Team page for the NKF walk : The Kidney Walkers
This goes to the NKF who helps him directly as well as their ongoing research and treatments, and the Paypal button on left for T-Shirts goes directly to Kim.

hope that clears up some confusion

    Hi Andie,

Via his Team page for the NKF walk : The Kidney Walkers
This doesn't have a paypal option, and goes to the NKF who helps him directly as well as their ongoing research and treatments.
That link goes to a page where the donation button in the upper left hand does go to Kim's PP account and not to the NKF so folks can contribute directly to Kim and his family though that link.

Thanks for letting folks know there's more than one way to contribute.

Yeh - I agree - he could use some help beyond the walk and now that he has met his goal for the walk, I am changing my sig link to the one where it goes directly to him.

    Thanks Andy.

Thank you, I was trying to figure out where to donate because I wanted it to go directly to him.

Andie - you might want to change the topic of this thread to Donate Directly to Kim - I see lots of comments in the other threads from people who are confused about how to do that.

Now that he has met his Kidney Walk goal it really would help him to know that some of his other related issues are being helped.

    Maj's Kidney

    Thanks everyone.

    Morning Pat!
    Changed title....thanks for the suggestion.
Does seem to confuse folks a bit - and I hope it isn't too many threads going!

I've change my sig to point to the donate link on kim's blog to send some help directly to him. We know he needs it - they've had it rough for some time.

        Kay,
I don't see how they couldn't have in that situation....those of us that have also had major medical issues or other life crisis, and particularly in this economy when it's hard enough if you have your health!
Also, I think people have different views on it and where they might not want to give it to an organization vs the specific person for personal use. If Kim chooses, he can send it on to the foundation...but probably nice to have the choice if need be.

HI Andie - don't worry about too many threads - Kim already had to merge two when he got relegated to off topic from main and already had one here - when he gets back here he can merge them all maybe in to one!

The thing is the others are for the Walk and since he already met his goal I really think we should emphasize money to help him out of his financial problems that resulted from his kidney failure.
