I'll bite - I like to eat out sometimes.

Okay - who wants to answer this menu?
Cajun Shrimp linguini - nice and spicy, Fresh tossed Salad with fetta, and homemade flaxseed, buckwheat rolls.
Desert around the fireplace - Lemon Snow(a chiffon with crumbled gramcracker crust) French roast coffee or/and Asti - with a fatty to pass
    and great conversation.

Sounds awesome....If I still ate shrimp. is there such a thing as fish linguini?

Have you ever heard of Halibut Olympia? It's halibut, on a bed of white wine and onions, with a light coating of prepared mustard, covered in mayonnaise and baked in the oven until mayonnaise is brown. DELICIOUS!

Can't relate, Dot. I am very allergic to fish - can eat the expensive side of the ocean - crab, lobster...the crustacean. I feel very elite when I go to parties and get to tell the hosts, thanks but no thanks I am ALLEGIC to caviar. LOL.

The other things you said sound scrumptious and Valerie has a tempting menu. Maybe what we should do is just do rotating parties. Everyone get rich quickly please so we can afford guest transport for our dinner parties.

          Heeee.....heee....sounds like fun!

When I accepted Kosher, was when I stopped eating shellfish & pork.

I don't miss the pork, but the SHELLFISH???? Yea, I miss it.

LOL Sal if I was in Washington or Oregon or wherever it is you are, I'd go over to your house for dinner all the time lol

Can't you move over here for a while sniff sniff

I love shrimp. Don't know what flaxseed is or what it tastes like but I'd try it. And the conversation HAHA I can imagine.

Now for you looks like you'd get taken out to McDonalds by Pavon. Like anything there?

(Shame on you Pavon do you know how unhealthy McD's is?)

Hmm then Morton's Steakhouse. Never heard of it but I assume they serve steak. And I'm guessing baked tatoes go with steak. (Still shame on you for mentioning McD's-their ranch salad dressing has 30 something fat grams in it!)

Ok, bbq outside by the pool ( summer, of course ). BBQ & smoked brisquit. Baked potato in the fire, fire roasted corn, tossed salad, green beans with lemon /basil / balsamic vinigrette. Fresh rosemary/garlic rolls, also from scratch. Dessert, by the pool on a hot summer day.....home made from scratch ice cream. Vanilla bean made with real vanilla beans and real cream. Home made caramel topping. Cold draft ale, or mead and a nice fat one or we can break out the vaporizer.

herbs are heirloom and home grown.

My mouth was watering when I read that I had to go eat

I like Sal's idea we all need to get super rich so we can hop on an airplane to someone's house for a dinner party and eat what they cook up.

Yeh - you are all good cooks - I am available for adoption.

I would do a bulb of roasted elephant garlic with cracked wheat sour dough bread and olive oil, served with wine.

BBQ anything is always best but just to share the delicious meal I had tonight, (too cold to BBQ):

jumbo shrimp sauteed in olive oil and garlic, with brown rice curly q macaroni, liberal on the parmesian/romano, cracked black pepper.

an organic herb salad that included dill, cilantro, baby lettuces (red & green romaine & oak leaf, red leaf, chard, arugula, radicchio)

(i had a pomegrante/blueberry dressing but it is a little wierd so I would probably do an Asian, sweet rice vinegar/toasted sesame oil dressing instead)

{a special guest would get the shrimp and macaroni with my homemade pesto, made with organic fresh basil, double pine nuts, double garlic, parmesian and olive oil}.

For dessert which I didn't have, I would for a guest do (buy) something like a lemon cheese cake or chocolate mousse and make some good coffee.

(real life going to grab a tablespoon of peanut butter and honey for dessert now that you have all made me hungry) and wash it down with some cold **** berry juice.

Let's see depends on the time of year and what is available.

Maybe a light starter, prawn mousse with a cucumber jelly served with a green salad.

Main course, might do a Chicken Thai green curry, with sticky rice, veg, salad

Dessert depends on the person but Ben & Jerry's Oero Ice Cream served with strawberries and black pepper

Maybe a sweet potato casserole if you behave.

I cook for pain control. When I eat alone, I keep it very healthy. When I cook for others I take into consideration that most of them will want forbidden food: ice cream, coffee...all the stuff I love and do indulge in moderation.

I cook for the pure enjoyment of it.
Doesn't matter if it's meatloaf, Beef Wellington, or a salad.

Lately I've been mixing things up. Combining styles, cultures, and regional cooking techniques. Also trying to work Braggs Liquid Aminos into just about everything.

Yea, I used to totally eat for pleasure. I still indulge, but keep it sparingly. Braggs Liquid aminos is a wonderful seasoning and it's HEALTHY The trick is to still cook for pleasure, but keeping what you cook antiinflammatory. That one is a tough one to balance especially when you LOVE to cook, LOVE to experiment with other culture's food and LOVE to eat.

Oops Sorry Mark you're right of course. There are quite a few, and some from Swansea.

Most of my accent has gone now, but it's still there at times

Bev, Thai is my #1 favorite food of all. Japanese is #2 and Sechswan/Hunan #3

Thai varies widely here, though - I could eat Gai Yang everyday and in fact when I used to work for the Bank there was a great place I would go for lunch where they called me the 'Gai Yang lady' because that is what I ordered every time -

They blackened the chicken and then had this marvelous marinade with lemon grass, cilantro and just little tiny pepper hairs - I don't like too spicy - which a lot of Thai is... rarely I would do Satay Gai with the peanut sauce yummy.

You guys are always making me hungry! Mail the microwave queen some real food already!

I'm pretty versatile in the kitchen, but I really love to BBQ.
I make a mean smoked pork and a killer bbq sauce.

        How's this for a menu....

Start off with an herb risotto served with a chilled chardonnay,

        a seared scallop Provencal,

and the entree...beef medallions with a balsamic port reduction sauce
        served with a cabernet.

That's what I made for my wife's birthday.
