How do I do a "The Following x Users Say Thank You"?

I see these blocks between messages all the time but I can't
figure out how to make one or put me in an already existing one.

Will anybody share the "secret"?

    The "thanks" button will appear automatically in others' posts, when you've made however many posts it requires, yourself. I think it's not very many - maybe 5 or 10 (excluding Off Topic posts "down here").

    Unusual to see a member from 2002 with only 3 posts. Welcome back.
