I really feel good about this FNM tonight.

I'm playing a Boros deck, which is red/white.

The last 3 weeks I've gone 1-3 and haven't been doing very well. But I think
my luck is going to change tonight.

I'll let you know how I did tomorrow.

    This is one of those things where you can actually win/lose some of the cards you play with in the games, is that right? So we hope you come back with a suitably expanded deck, for next time ...

      Actually, we don't play for ante so I can't lose my cards.

        Well, it was another lousy 1-3 week for me. This is the 4th one in a row.

        Maybe it's time for me to take up another hobby.

          A hobby-swap is fine with me. And will save me a fortune: you take up shoe-shopping and I'll take up Magic The Gathering (once I've worked out what it is).

    I wouldn't count on it saving you too much Alexa... My husband and his friends were into it a lot in high school and I don't know how many times I would see them spending hundreds of dollars at a time on packs or single cards. Was crazy. I think I spent a total of $30 on the game all through high school on a starter pack and a few extra packs. From then on I just got extra commons from them and played with "lame" cards cause I couldn't bring myself to spend any more money on them.

    Now Pokemon... I blew all of my money on those when I was little. The monsters are so cute!

        Actually, the money is made from playing the pro tour. The winner gets like
        $40,000, which isn't too bad.
