LearnChinese1on1.com was founded in 2005 by American and European expats living in China. Understanding the difficulties of learning the Chinese language, they formed a social club where their chinese wives taught chinese to new foreigners arriving in China. When their wives asked new foreigners why they didn't learn chinese in their home country before coming to China, they kept hearing the same answer: No time, too expensive, language books/audio/softwares don't work.
