Busted With Fake Screen-Shots

Hi

I was wondering, if you are busted with fake/doctored screenshots
in your WSO does that constitute a lifetime ban from WF?

PS. No not me...

Cheers

Case by case thing. It's always some ban and an immediate closure of the offer. Usually just a permanent ban, but there have been instances where the intent wasn't to defraud. (I know. That's hard to believe, but I've seen it.)

One of the funniest arguments I've ever gotten from someone who used a doctored screenshot has actually been used a bunch of times: "I had someone else write the copy and they faked the screenshot."

What? You used an income screenshot you didn't provide your copywriter/designer? You put your name behind something you KNEW wasn't authentic?

    Buh-bye.

Thanks for the reminder on that one. Was discussing it with someone and it got delayed longer than it should.

      He's gone.

I remember several threads about "how-to" after someone got caught doing a WSO with faked shots.

Greed often blinds good judgement and morals.

I always find it funny that people are so gullible by any income claim.

Just because Joe Blow earned a hypothetical X amount of money doesn't mean anyone else will. Save the "Your mileage may vary, speeches for someone else".

I've seen forum members demand screenshots otherwise they didn't believe the income claim, LMAO, what are these people smoking?

Over the last 4/5 weeks, I have found atleast 3 WSO sellers with fake earning screenshots.

What happen to those WSOs? Nothing but I got banned to pointing this in WSO thread. Sellers managed to delete the screenshots and my post got deleted because I posted the screenshots with questions? For example one screenshot had "clickbank" word underlined which means the person was using Word document.

If you ban these sellers they will create another account.

I'm pretty sure IPs are logged.
In the situation you described the best thing to do is submit the information to the helpdesk, along with a screenshot and let them check it out. If they agree with you then the seller will liekly be penalized in some manner.if they don't,nothing will happen to the seller, and nothing will happen to you.
But one thing that the forum doesn't allow, is if you have issues with someone, take it up in private, and osting in a thread is not private.
        Hope this helps .

I think the best thing to do will be to gather all the evidence and let the Mods know. So far i have seen swift action taken against sellers who have been caught using fake screenshots.

Personally, as soon as I see screenshots I see little red flags.....especially if there's dollar signs.

Should be the same for people using fake ID's too.
There are quite a few of those too.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I thought the Mods did have things in place to deal with those?

It must be a nightmare to moderate. IPs mean nothing when these people have a load of proxies etc.

It simple if MODs want to do anything about these things.

      1. No income claims or screenshots allowed in any WSO
      2. To post WSO, account must be 6 month old with atleast 50 posts in WAR room.

I'm sure that won't fly. Too Draconian, don't you think?

The first is something I strongly support. The moderators don't make policy, though.

The second would be partly okay and partly a nightmare. The membership duration thing would sort of work, but it would drive people to buying "aged" accounts. 6 months after putting that into effect, there'd be a flood of fraud, driven by a market in custom "WSO-ready" usernames.

Requiring 50 posts in the War Room would just push people toward posting garbage there.

If it's the one I saw, I closed that offer. He wasn't using Word, by the way. Different "technique" for editing the screenshot, but the same result: Seller gone.

If you got banned, it wasn't for pointing that out.
