How would you like to snag one of these? I believe the official weight was 120.53 pounds.... Caught just a few miles south of me.

Oh, and the bathtub behind the guy? Best I can figure is...redneck livewell...

Nope....he actually caught it with a rod and reel using 40lb test line.

Guess that's why i am not a detective  I saw the blood and scrapes
and guessed it was from being pulled from a hole.

We have channel cats and blue cats up here, no matter the size they
always put up a heck of a fight... and they break unsuspecting people poles
        all the time.

Why you wanna go an post a pic up of that ole high livin redneck, when you KNOW none of the rest of us can afford a bath tub. Its just mean Dave!

Ps. I bet its one of those fancy kind too, you know; with a rubber stopper hangin off the end of one of those bling bling tub chains?

    So ostentatious!

Wow!! I love catfishing. They really battle. Biggest one I ever caught was around 20 pounds. That big ol' boy would be quite the prize.

Sometimes the flatheads do lay on the bottom, especially the bigger ones, but the channel cats are great fighters. I've lost more than one rod and reel because the line was hit so hard I couldn't grab it in time.

Might depend on where you're fishing too, or how plentiful the food sources are at the time, or even on the bait you're using (I use chicken liver or home made stink bait).

All my cattin' has been in rivers in Iowa and Wisconsin.
