How to clean my new house?

The living room is an open plan kitchen and lounge, the floor is laminated and it gets dusty and lots of hair on it, at the moment I am sweeping with a dustpan and broom then mopping but it takes forever and first even do that well and it ecumilated back to dirty again????

It's nice, a two in one purpose dustpan. I just have the ordinary one.

Well hey there Helloise. A dustpan? I just vacuum it up. It's easier. That's when I don't just open the door and sweep it all outside. That's easier, too. If I had the money I'd just burn the house down and get a new one so I wouldn't have to worry about mops and dustpans and that kind of crap. Then there's maids, too, if I wasn't THAT rich. I outsource my dirt whenever humanly possible.

When the dust bunnies get too large - I just give them names and pretend I planned for them to live with me

That dustpan does look handy - especially for those of us with pet hair floating around.
