December 21st 2012? This Image Real?

I dont believe in this 2012 prophecy. This image has been spreading on social media like widefire..

It looks fake... but when I went on "live webcams" for perth... they all had errors, which confused me.

    The TVN Exclusive bar has been used in a number of fake-news images on the web.

    Edit:

    After uploading the image to google & searching, it turns out the image first hit the web back in January of this year - MINUS the TVN Exclusive bar at the bottom of this one.

    And it was from Canada, not Australia.

    So yea.. This myth is BUSTED!

    Could be real. There have been several sightings of these sort of swirly things all around the world.
    Whether or not they outer worldly is not for me to determine. Could just be some weird cloud formation or a contrail. Interesting pic, though.

    Could just as well be fake. It's hard to tell these days.

    Man, I wish these doomsday theorists would tell me in which time zone to expect the world to end.

    The trail, to the left, and odd distortion in the image make this look fake! It looks like someone used a lightpen freehand.

    One of the effects I would have expected to see, some time ago, would just HAPPEN to be in australia! It WOULD be lights in the sky. It would NOT look like THAT picture!

    I say this with some certainty because it is NOT unique! It happens a lot, and has happened even this year. It would be like the following:

    I would have expected them to be noticeably more striking or happen at a different time, or some such.

    Being a resident of Perth, I can guarantee nothing like that has ever appeared over the city's skies.

    If it did, there would've been better pictures and even video from the local tv stations, not from a foreign news service.
