anyone else see the humor in this?

I hate to see customers taken advantage of - and Apple is apologizing for using used replacement parts in some iphones.

But really - you have to chuckle just a little when the complaints of "using cheap parts" come from China.

I'm not sure if that's funny or not.

Are the parts MADE in China or in the US? Either way that would be funny, but for different reasons.

What had me scratching my head was that in China you have to have a two year warranty on your products:confused:

Well, you can bet they get a better price over there. A chinese coworker told me that they cost MORE there, but I HIGHLY doubt that! Why would they be so popular there, etc... It WAS comical though to see him buy it here and wait like 3 weeks while it was shipped here FROM CHINA!

Perhaps not as much competition over there.

Also iPhones in the US (and other developed nations) may be tied in with telco service provider contracts. In other words offer phones at reduced prices, make it back in service fees over the life of the contract.

Similar to how Gilette used to give away the handles and make a fortune selling blades that fit the handles.

So that blind people can hate them as well.

Not so much funny, but definitely ironic.
