So says the CDC:
Study: Urinating In Pool Water Creates Dangerous Chemicals That Can Affect Lungs, Heart « CBS Atlanta

Seriously? It takes a government study to tell us that peeing in the pool isn't good for you?

You've totally killed in now Steve! Having a secret 'relieve' session in the public pool was one of life's great pleasures. Now it's become a life and death scientific dissection.

I was told that some pools use a type of invisible fluorescent dye that triggers when it comes in contact with uric acid. So you'd be followed around by a big glowing cloud if you ever had a pee. Scary sh*te there! It cured me of habits. Quick smart.

But the communal spa is another story ...

Got a chuckle. I wonder how much it cost to come to this conclusion:

Study author, Jing Li, Ernest Blatchley, III, noted that there is no imminent threat of poisoning yourself with your own urine in the pool, but stated that people should use the restroom where they are supposed to and not in the water.

Actually, David, the giveaway was that you tried it from the diving board.

Bah, just a bunch of fake PR to get people to stop peeing in the pool. Sorry, but it won't work. It won't, it won't, it won't......

lol ... given the intelligence of the target audience, perhaps they should have also advised not to swim in the toilet.
