There needs to be that icon that tells you in which thread you have previously posted.

That one was essential.

I'm leaving this place if they don't bring it back. It's a pain to read through all the thread titles.

Sumit, there is such an icon - it's a white star on a gray background.

As an icon, it's not very clear, but the biggest problem is that when a thread hits 20 replies or 500 views, the standard (hot) red icon replaces it.

Then you have to hold your cursor over each icon to find the threads in which you've posted. Not ideal.

When there's a new post in that thread, the icon is replaced by the usual red one (even when the post count is below 20). I usually only want to see if there's a new post in threads I have previously posted. Both behaviors kinda defeat the purpose.

Sumit, you're right. The icon is replaced by the red one - until you click on the thread to read any unread posts. Then it reverts to the starred gray icon (try it on this thread). That is, until the thread hits 20 replies or 500 views.

Yes, you're right. But the whole point is to see if there is anything new on the threads I've previously posted on. The gray icon doesn't help me.

            Sumit,

You might want to post your concern in the Suggestions forum. I don't think management cruises the OT much. I can't remember ever seeing them post here.

Thanks for the correction, Frank. I hovered my cursor over the icon I posted and it told me how many posts I had in the thread, so I made the assumption that's was it's primary function. I hadn't seen the icon key until you posted.

I deleted my post so others wouldn't be misled by it.

This has never worked for me.

+2 for first unread post and 'you posted here' icons. I used them a lot.
