Web Designers: WIll you use this?

When you are looking for new clients, do you ever feel the need to have a web based software that gives you specific information about a prospective client?

For instance, you notice that xyz steakhouse needs serious help on their website, and my software details technical information such as an outdated Wordpress install, mobile failures, and their overall social media presence - stats of areas a small business can improve their reach. This whole report being available in a whitelabel pdf.

On the other hand, maybe you don`t really seek out new clients - but would like a tool that keeps track of all of this information on a daily basis so you can see how your existing clients are doing.

There is a whole lot more to this, but want to keep it short to get the most feedback. If I get enough interest here and elsewhere, i`ll put it online.

These same type of reports already exist.
    What makes yours any different?

I would compete by doing the things these companies & others do, in one place (and for a fraction of the $):

      builtwith.com
      woorank.com

And for a better price - unlimited reports, etc. Mine would be the only one geared very specifically to those who are trying to sell website related services - so if you are an expert at maintaining wordpress sites, I can give you a list of wordpress sites that are outdated, have various problems, etc. Then you can generate a white label PDF that you can take to a prospect and show them all the reasons they need your help.

In the time you are taking to figure out there is a market, you could have already built the thing and been trying to pedal it around. ( this isn't your first post on the idea )

There will be folks that dont know where to find the information that may pay to use it. I can find it, I wouldn't use it.

but the point is.. stop schmucking around and actually do something already. you are sounding like some big corporate machine thinking of investing millions into some project and doing a preliminary study.

For the love of pete man... there are companies that do what it is you want to design, that shows that there is at least some traction to the idea. Make it happen already, and then once you have the product up and running and cant get traffic to it, come back and get advice on the next steps.

Bottom line.. stop looking outside of your self to get validation to doing it, every indicator that you need to follow through with the idea is already there. Make it happen! and stop freakin whinning

Hey I really appreciate you putting it this way, thank you! I have actually built it, and have been testing it, but lollygagging around hoping I can get enough users to make it all worth it. I have been using this for over 5 of my 14 years of freelancing - i`m just sick of freelancing and need to move into saas.

You are right... it exists and can be done better, cheaper, more awesome.

OP, this forum is an ideal place to test it with people like us, just a suggestion, then we can validate it works through actual real life usage and then you have recommendations galore
