Ideas for generating local leads

Hi guys,

Give me a hint how to increase my clients. I work for local telecom provider in very saturated market. I have mountly target to cover. Things are not going well because I have no connections with the business yet.

What I tried and kind- a worked :

- Door to door offers (its time consuming and it is kind of hard to reach the man who take the decisions)

- flyers ( there is god ROI but mainly in the active summer period)

- dealers (my colleagues main source, but they are with solid background in the field so the have the connections)

I want to try something inovative. May be something online . I have the desire to work so to support my plans to quit some day.. but if I do not cover this month may be I will be out.

Thanks in advance guys!

If you want to try something online, I would go the obvious way: Facebook!

It allows for local advertisements, but you could also partner up with a local facebook group for that purpose

A different approach would be google adwords, you can tarket local keywords, but I would really try the facebook apporach first.

Here are five great reasons why adding comments is good for your social marketing and online profile.

Creates opportunity – by regularly engaging on blogs you’re building your contacts and this can lead to more connections, guest post opportunites and new business.
Raises your profile – adding interest to someone’s article gets you noticed by other readers and the blog author.
Drives traffic to your own blog – it can drive more visits as other readers, commentators and the blog author will want to learn more about you. They may even leave you a reciprocal comment!
You’ll learn something new – there’s nothing like a good debate and it will enrich your own experience.
Sparks more blogging ideas – reading other blogs is inspiring and the debate may spark an idea to present an alternate view in your own article.

Do the hard work and get on the phones and start pounding it. Volume calls will get you out of trouble. This is not the time to be playing around with facebook and internet thingy bob. Save that till when you have cash to explore other means of generating leads.
