Verifying business listings for clients

This is my first forum post and I thank you in advance for your time in helping with the query below.
Just setting up my GP, Bing and Yahoo Local listing business and have a couple of problems.
For new businesses, I read on here that it is a good idea to get a clients business listed in local directories such as Qype etc before setting up their GP listing, as Google will pick up on this and give the GP listing a good lift. My business model was to set up a clients GP, Bing and Yahoo listing for a fixed fee and charge a monthly maintenance (uploading photo, videos, adding the client to business listings such as qype, scoot, local listings etc and encourage positive reviews to their listings.
To make sure that the clients info was always correct and not mess up their GP/Bing/Yahoo listings by having mixed or incorrect info all over the web. I had planned to make a generic description and set up and add the clients details to Qype, Scoot etc myself (with the clients prior permission and then handing them the login details whilst maintaining these listings by adding photo's encouraging reviews etc)
For the business directories (Not GP, Bing or Yahoo Local) is it possible or credible for me to set up, and more importantly, verify these listings on behalf of my clients as i didn't want to be continuously ringing a client telling them to expect a call, postcard etc from XYZ directory at X time? Also, does anyone do this? and how do you overcome IP issues with multiple clients?
