Facebook Marketing for Local Pharmacy

So one of my sales guys landed a contract with a local pharmacy. We are doing a facebook fan page with email and PPC ads for him. His company is pretty unique in that everything is managed online.

Anyway, I am brainstorming some good approaches to getting likes and email submits. So far I am thinking of giving away some kind of value like "top three reasons blah blah blah".. something related to the pharmacy industry but that is of such interest that it will be very easy to get an email.

Any ideas?

Coupons for free stuff. It will convert directly into people coming to stores. Talk with the pharmacy and see if they can give away some toothbrushes or band aids or something. Even expiring Cokes that they can't sell will do Use the branding billions that advertisers spend to your advantage.

Drive people to the Fan Page with Facebook PPC. You must get them to Like the Page by offering them something in return. Have a "reveal" Welcome Page, this will make sure they "Like" the page before you reveal the give away.
Once they are Fans of your page, you can market to them there by providing interesting and compelling content.

If you can get your current fans to interact, they'll also attract more fans.

For example on one of my software fan sites, I posted this:

Anyone that posts "I Want That!" below will receive a copy of ______ for free!

It got great results, because dozens of people posted it, and then their curiosity seeking friends found the fanpage.

    Hi Jake
I have been actively promoting my services to local biz for a few months now.
The best way to get fans on Facebook is to target people who already shop at your clients store.
I have found it to be very difficult to get fans for local biz like a pharmacy direct from facebook.
Lets face it, would you become a fan of a pharmacy if you saw a facebook ad?
Send me a pm and I would be happy to show you what I have been doing that works..

With so much focus on tricking people into liking a page, what comes after that?

Who cares if they have 10,000 'likes' because they were bribed into it if it doesn't result into any future business for them. What's the plan on the fan page AFTER the like?

(Sounds like a reality show after show, "After The Like").

    LOL
