When would you suggest a client get a mobile website vs having a mobile app?

Which businesses do you think would be more suited for a mobile website?

Which businesses do you think would be more suited for a mobile app?

I know the main difference is the ability to send push notifications with an app, which type of businesses do you think would benefit the most from sending push notifications?

    An application is beneficial to a business when it provides a benefit to the customer. Whats going to keep them using that application? Yes it's great to keep sending them push notifications, but if they get too many, get p****** off with them, they will delete the app or disable push notifications for your app.


    A mobile website is beneficial either way. For example, if you were to develop an application, you might not be targetting all mobile devices, you would have to make Android, Blackberry and iOS applications. Therefore I think a mobile site is mandatory either way.
