Probably a really dumb question...but about using Google Image

Hi there, I am wanting to add some content to my website and my services regarding helping clients get their google + pages set up. Is it ok to use images of the Google logo?

If it's for commercial use, then NO. If it's for informal use, then YES, but always notify the source of the images in the article.

The above answer is probably the best option. Lots of people have used the image illegally and largely gotten away with it. Some people have received C&D's from Google's lawyers and this has the potential to get a little nasty as you are infringing someones trademark.

I think the best bet is to stay in the white and dont breach their IP. Which is worse...not using it and building your business or using it, building your business and have it all come crashing down due to legal issues?

    Anyway, thats my 2 cents

Just a little tip that I do.

Go to Flickr and do an advanced search. You can specify that you only want images that are available for commercial use from there.

There are heaps of images for most uses.

I think the quick answer is no, it's copyrighted.
And the more reasonable answer is that it gives Google free advertising and if you're not dissing them, they won't do anything.

And...I'm not a lawyer. And I don't play one on TV.
