Real Estate Buyer/Investor Client

I have a guy who has purchased over 1500 homes in KC and St Louis the past 10 years, and he's reaching out for my help to help brand/position/market him and his business online. Lead Gen, Video, Craigs, Social Media, etc.

He helps sellers get out from under their home fast in return for buying at lower than market rate. Then releases to other investors, with a few going to RE agents to list and sell. He doesn't buy ugly houses in most cases, but more move in ready, or with maybe foundation damage or homes that are otherwise fixable in short order.

Anyone around here have experience in promoting such a business? What's effective, what's not...

I know Jack Mize talks about how he helped a RE investor in some of his stuff with Lead Valve pages and such.

This would be a nice client...I'm all ears Warriors and thanks in advance...

Craigslist is I consider feasible when it comes to ads posting. If you really want to attract prospects to have fair enough great listings then create your own website or start with having a FB landing page.

I'm just in the research stage with ConnectedInvestors.com, PrivateMoneyGoldmine.com, PrivateMoneyExchange.com. and TransactionalFunding.com They all appear to be solid.
Perhaps what Preston Ely is up to these days as well.

Locally, we have a guy named Bill Bronchik who has a pretty good sized network. So
link up with local investor networks and MeetUps as well as Facebook and LinkedIn
groups. Start his own group at MeetUp and LinkedIn.

You said video, so I assume you meant youtube and other video sites.
That works to attract buyers and sellers. Different videos of course.

I assume he already has a rolodex of real estate agents in
    place. If not, build that.

Then, it sounds like he wants to position himself as
a good guy in the pre-foreclosure market. SO, of course,
gear his presence around that and explain exactly what he
does and who he helps. Real testimonials as well.

More importantly, I think positioning via publicity would work
better. Press releases, local radio and television interviews.
Relevant print media as well - newspapers and local magazines.

Get involved with relevant and active and interactive local websites
as well, including the radio and TV station's.

Maybe do a weekly column in a local or regional newspaper or website.

    Guest blog.

Make sure all the relevant local journalists in his desired region know
about him and his expertise and availability when they need someone
to go to. Begin by following them on Twitter (especially) then LinkedIn
and Facebook. Direct contact as well.

Locally, we have Tom Martino, a consumer advocate on TV and
KHOW 630AM radio (you could listen on the internet) and troubleshooter.com,
If there is someone like that in KC or St Louis, then reach out there.

If he has the budget, he could do paid half hour spots on local radio and tv.
Usually weekend spots. There is a show in my area, Colorado and Company,
that started as a sort of local version of say Good Morning America. It has
morphed into - with the same well liked host - a cross between GMA and
paid half hour spots. A lot of the good guy mortgage and financial professionals
appear on that show and it still airs right after the Today show for one hour.
If there is something similar in your area...

That's my take on the sitiation.
