I need a programmer to program a project for me that will automatically create static websites. Needs to know PHP,MySql, pear, smarty, javascript. ajax, etc.

    Can I ask you why you would want to re-create the wheel, I know you probably have a good reason to do this, but are you trying to develop a method of say "cloning" a particular style of webpages, or is it something different?

    If your programmer is creating "static" websites, why does he need to know PHP, MySQL, pear, smarty, Javascript, and AJAX?

      There is a dsatabase involved.

      Rather than use Ajax, YUI would be a better choice.
      And in that case would eliminate going directly to Javascript.
