What about site navigation? Does anyone know where I can find information on this. Is there a plugin that assist in navigation and/or page structure.

Page structure and site nav is more in the template you choose than in plugins. Find a template that has the kind of navigation you are looking for. You can search in templates for tags like SEO... that might help. I'd advise: Google XML Sitemaps Akismet for spam (comes with the basic version, just activate) if you are going to allow comments/trackbacks at all. All in One SEO Pack Those are basics that I always start with. Many of the rest depend on what you are doing on your blog. You might want an adsense plugin or a amazon plugin or a forum plugin... whatever - look around under "extend" on wordpress and see what is there (pay attention to what WP version is supported - you don't want something that supports up to WP 2.3 if you have 2.7). Good luck! |

I'm using the Prosense theme for adsense from DoshDosh. I'm trying to get a handle on site navigation before putting up too many pages. I assume I would set up the "Category " section by some form or fashion?

The very basic are: Google XML Sitemaps (SEO) All in One SEO Pack (SEO) Akismet (Anti-Spam) WP-Cache (Host Saver) WordPress Database Backup But remember that plugins are closely related to the funtions that you need, I do not recommend to use a lot of plugins, just use the really needed. Anyway you can find a huge list with explanations at: marketingpilgrim.com/2008/12/best-wordpress-plugins-new-blogs.html I hope it can help you. |

The biggest problem I see is installing too many plugins and slowing the page loads down. I have that problem and need to keep remembering to K.I.S.S Simplicity... Akismet - Spam CForms - Contact All in One SEO- Simple Tags Blubrry Powerpress My Page/Link/Category Order Are the ones I keep falling back on... |

Hi............, WP-Cumulus allows you to display your site's tags, categories or both using a Flash movie that rotates them in 3D. It works just like a regular tags cloud, but is more visually exciting. Clicking the tags can be a little hard (depending on your speed setting) but does take you to the appropriate page .
