I'm wanting to modify the php file shown in this Jing capture, and keep getting an error message when I try to copy. Any suggestions?

What exactly is the error message you are getting? I assume it's the 202-config-sample file that you are trying to edit?

    Toddie,

try to copy that file on your desktop, and modify it from there. Then rename it, remove the "sample" part and move it to its original directory. It may be a problem with the path.

How can I copy the file to the desktop. When I right-click, it gives me the option to "copY' , but not "save as",,,,I've tried this stupid thing every which way and I'm still stuck.

Do a right-click->Copy and then right-click on the desktop and Paste.

After that you should be able to edit it, save it and redo the same operation from the desktop (COPY) to the initial folder (PASTE).

If you can open the file with a text editor you could copy all the contents (Control-A) and then paste them (Control-V) into a new text document, which you could then edit and save.

I'm still puzzled as to why you can't just copy and paste this file?

This is really starting to bug the crap out of me.
I really appreciate your help here. I just can't figure out why such a friggin easy task is costing me DAYS of work. I've got another screen capture here. Perhaps Patrice or Mike can figure out what the heck is wrong..

Check that, I kept getting the error message, yet, now when I click on the file, the values I want are in there.
There must be some basic "duh" moment here, but it seems I'm okay.
Thank you both ever so much.

If the values are inside the file, that means you've modified it so that's good. Upload the whole thing to your server as explained in the install for the software, and then rename this file on the server directly (using your ftp tool) and you should be ok.

I should probably re-label this thread getting my Prosper202 self hosted.
      But I digress.
I'm now getting the following error info when I type in my domain.
      I use godaddy hosting.

I'm wondering if I need to rename the 202-config-sample to 202-config AFTER I upload to my server, even though in the video it was clearly renamed beforehand to 202-config

Thank you so much for your prompt responses, Patrice.

Yes, you need to rename the file as you said, you can do it directly on the server, and you'll be fine.
