I am going to attempt to install a PHP Script. I am not experienced at this.

But the Install Instructions seem simple enough for me to try.

I just need to edit the configDOT PHP file with MYSQL Database information.

I do know how to create the database and user, PW and attach the user to the database in CPanel.

But I just want to check that I understand how to edit the PHP file correctly.

I have attached a picture of the file.

I am not sure what to enter in the Server line

and do my entries of data go between the ' ' ?

Thanks very much

    Hi Lawrence

Yes, the information goes between the quote symbols.

You have created the database so you should already know the database name, user name and password. You'll want to double-check the name, as many hosts (i.e. Hostgator) preceed the name you provided with your account name - just display the database details in your CPanel to be sure.

As for the server name it may have been provided to you by your host, it will be an IP address or a domain name. If it isn't then the value is probably 'localhost', indicating that the database is hosted on the same server as your web site.

        Lo and Behold-

        The script is not working

The admin isn't opening- and all I had to do was config a database nd upload the script.

Well, it may be due to my vision problem... a syntax error or something.

I'm not giving up. I'm determined to get something going and earn. But, I do have hiring a webmaster at the top of my list. When I can afford it

          It WORKS!

Sorry for the false alarm Warriors.

I was able to troubleshoot the scripte myself after all.

          Tahnks again
