Hello warriors,

I am back with one of my imp. query , that i am planning to take one domain on tourism, the domain name is for example: abc.com, and someone has already taken abc.com, now on internet abc.in is available with same keyword and niche , only extensions are different.

So ,what my question is , Can i buy abc.in if it is available, if somebody has already bought abc.com belonging to same niche or keyword. only extensions are different.

Is all the domains for example indiatourism.com, indiatourism.in ,indiatourism.net should be purchased by one person only. If two seperate business owners are running these domains seperately, then Does there is any legal issue?

I hope your understand my query , if not then please reply me.

As long as the term is not trademarked by (or the intellectual property of) someone else, you have as much right to the domain in available extensions as they do. Whoever gets it first, wins.

if India Tourism is a trademarked phrase, you might have a problem. But otherwise, you should have no issue. People still might try to give you a hard time, you can't control that, but legally there should be no issue.

There are some country codes where only the people living in those countries are allowed to buy those domains, and some countries where you need government approval before you can use a domain with the country name in it. I don't know if that is the case where you live, but it is worth checking out.
