Page 1 Google for my niche keyword after only 2 weeks!

Its only been two weeks (to the day) that I purchase the keyword domain and uploaded my niche product site, all 7 pages.

I just checked Google this morning and I'm very happy to find my site sitting at #7!

Now this particular niche only has 120,000 competing pages, but gets ~1k exact searches per month.

My strategy to get this site indexed and ranked was deliberate.

  • I have fully optimized on-page SEO
  • I have not created any backlinks.
  • I have not enabled adsense
  • I have no outbound links
Now that I am on page one, I am going to initiate the monetization strategy, beginning with adsense (following xFactor process, thanks John and congrats on the ebook launch!) and backlinks.

I am following the XFactor strategy and hope this site will be an excellent testimony for John's process.

More to come...

    Congrats.

Though I must say that it is very easy to get to page one for such keywords (low comp). I mean, I've got 6 sites on page one for keywords that show 13-80 mil results, and I've done zero backlinking.

Now, getting the top spots is a lot more work.

    Good luck!

My site has been ranked for #5 to #9 on Google for some of my main keywords but the traffic originate from those keyphrases are minimal. I have to admit I am in a very competitive niche and the competitions are at at least a million for most of my main keyphrases.

Although I have about 10,000 visitors a month, most of them reach my site through keyphrases which I never optimised or never heard of as I have almost a thousand articles on my blog.

I am still cracking my head how to get my main keyphrases on the top three of Google so that I can get more targetted traffic.

Congrats, But with just 1k searches a month, I doubt if you can make any good money out of it. Is the niche good paying?

The beauty of this system is that you can expect $20-50 per month, per 1000 searches. So this is a rinse and repeat strategy, not something to build an empire around a single site.

In this process, a "high paying niche" is not so much the goal. We look for spyfu Cost/Click numbers of at least .50 cents!

I see your following my course.

Just keep in mind, as I mentioned all of the time, that results
will vary and always feel free to use your own approaches mixed
        with my base-line advice.

As I always say, "Everything works..."

Steveniam, just wondering, are you sure those competitive keywords are related to your site. If you are 7th and it's a competitive niche, you should see a little traffic for them. Often I have seen people optimise their site for a keyword based upon search volume from Google keyword tool and when they rank for those keywords, they see little volume. I would consider testing those keywords in PPC for two weeks to see what kind of traffic you get through. Using PPC is a great research tool for keywords.
Also if you have 1000 articles, you should be able to go top 3 by just using internal links from articles. If you need more advice on this, just PM me ... all advice is FREE

On the micro niche plan. I have been messing about with the 30day challenge which is centered around micro niches, even smaller than the above. I am not sure its something I would give much time to. I am not too scared of competition and feel it would be more fun to go after a bigger niche. However, I do see how a lot of people make a lot of cash from these small type of niches ... you can rank pretty quickly !!!

The hardest part I find is market research. I always find it hard to select a market ...

I cannot afford to test those keyphrases as it will cost me a bomb - they range from $4 to $6++

How to do that? My site is a wordpress blog.

Anyway I will PM you my url and let see what advice do you have for me
