My client has been blackmailed with NEGATIVE SEO !! HELP

Hi Guys

We've worked hard to get our client site ranking for many terms on page 1. This is a client who has an e-commerce website.

There great clients and have invested a lot of money in this. They have been ranking well only for a short period of time. Then this happens

This person opened up dialogue by asking if they accept paypal on orders. An innocent question but it resulted in him replying and now the person knows his emails are being seen.

This is the threat. Can we disavow thousands of links easily?

This is a warning email.

Your website ranks on the first page of Google for many keywords and I will do NEGATIVE SEO of your website by giving it 25,000 XRumer forum profile backlinks and your website will loose it's rankings on Google and YOU will loose all your revenues.

If you like me to desist from doing NEGATIVE SEO of your website, then you have to pay me $750 by WesternUnion within the next 24 hours.

IF YOU DO NOT PAY WITHIN THE NEXT 24-HOURS THEN I WILL START THE NEGATIVE SEO CAMPAIGN AFTER THIS 24-HOURS.

TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY,

    Just tell him You are ready to pay $750 but in return he will have to s&*k your clients c@^k.



    Show him you mean business and he will pee in his pants.

    You dont need an SEO solution for this.Just good old tit for tat would be enough for such losers.

      There's no good solutions to this. Disallowing links is a pain, but his "negative SEO" might not attribute to anything. And even if you pay there's no guarantees on what he'll do.

      It'd be hard for a business owner in some jurisdictions to even pay a fellow such as this because he's not going to hand you a proper receipt for the "purchase".

      I would just not reply to him, but report the act to the proper authorities and Yahoo's abuse address.

    Really? It isn't tough for this person to use xrumer and do this.... How can Google know if it is a ******* doing this to us like it is. Or if it is me going on some crapy site like fivver and buying the gig...

    I can't see why this guy wouldnt do it

    I'm working as SEO optimizer for 4+ year's i d't face any shit thing like this , but I'm sure that they will not do this, for this they guys have need to do manual Negative links submission so first he have to also invest a good time and money for that . Google algorithm watch spam link bound, so I think you should't fear about rummer.

    Its a spam , and you have to avoid this

      What you just said makes zero sense. There is no need to do manual submissions to spam a site for negative SEO.

      To the OP, there are no guarantees that negative SEO will work. If it was that easy to do, this person would probably be using their time to knock out everyone on page one and rank #1 themselves in all kinds of niches.

      I would report them to the proper authorities (although it is likely that nothing will happen) and move on. Of course, keep an eye on the link profile and Disavow when necessary.
