      No it does not. It is based on guesswork by Alexa largely using data from users who have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser (which is almost nobody anymore).

        Mike is right. They actually use a alexa toolbar to compile the data. Let me ask you something... when was the last time you had an alexa toolbar? For me it's never.

        So alexa doesn't mean anything to me at all. Keyword position does though!

          Alexa ranking is not a factor of a site. I saw many sites which have nice alexa but there is no more traffic. Such a blogspot site is

          videotuberr.blogspot.com

          Instead of better alexa it has no traffic.

      paladinseo pretty much summed that up. Get some cheap traffic that has Alexa toolbar enabled. Of course you might want to ask yourself who are you trying to scam or lie to, and is it worth it.

      If you're just running a site you should follow DABK's advice.

    alexa ranking can be easily manipulated, just buy some traffic, it even can be bot traffic , keep the traffic going to 1-2 weeks and u will se wonders
