Are There Any 5 Cents Cheap Clicks Left?

Its bin a while since I did any serious PPC marketing and thought I would test a niche I have discoverd.

Anyway I did a huge amount of keyword research and used my hot niche keywords, loaded them all into Google.

Out of nearly 200 keywords not one qualified for the first page at 5 cents ... even though I had selected all of the keywords on that basis.

I am just having a bad day or are the days of really cheap clicks over???

Hmmm... perhaps uploading all 200 keywords at the same time set off a flag. Try pausing everything and follow the 80/20 rule (ie: 20% of your efforts will produce 80% of your results). Substitute keywords for effort and results for volume. Use the keywords that have the highest traffic volume. Make sure they're grouped tightly and gradually decrease your bids.

This is just my theory as to what may have happened based on the limited information provided. Factors that affect your bids are your keywords, of course; the quality of your landing pages, your ad groups, and other things.

5 cent clicks are still available as I have plenty of keywords with that low bid -- although, most of the time I bid much higher. If you happen to have another adwords account, you can test the theory there.
