Dear Warriors,

I wanted to know that what will be the possibility of get crawled and result if anyone have created just replica of one his own website?

This question comes in mt mind while one of my friend is discussing about it that one of his client have create 1 website and place the same code with everything similar to another website on same server.

Now Google shows one website in his search result and 2nd is not even crawled which was almost 3 months old.

I've suggested him not to do that to prevent to be penalized by Search engine due to duplicacy.

But is there any way to know what is the exactly problem or signal that Google not crawled his website even if his (my friend's client) is not implemented any redirection code, canonical tag, robots.... nothing related to seo points of view was implemented on both of the sites. As my friend's client is a lay man in terms of seo. He doesn't know anything about it.

Please share your experience.

Thanks in advance.

Avoid this because your client's website might be penalized for duplicate content. You may want to read this: https://support.google.com/webmaster...er/66359?hl=en

Yeah this is true and I already have explained it to the client (By sharing these links for better understanding) but the things is there a way to recognize what happens to the other website which was not crawled or indexed by google? Is this got penalized or blocked by server?

in that case older domain will get the reputation and the other will be penalized for duplicate website. This is a strong offense in google guidelines.

Odds are the clone website will get buried in Google Supplemental SERPs as duplicate content. This is pretty much guaranteed to happen If the original site has any followed backlinks.

Avoid duplicate content at all costs, Google will definitely penalize the second website. You can use a similar design or template, but the content and page titles should be unique. It doesn't even have to be totally different than your first site, just mix it up a little. Use synonyms for words and rearrange the order and paragraph structure.
