Hey Warriors,

I'm aiming to start a new SEO blog to share some of my real case studies and lot's of workable blueprints, But instead of wasting my & readers time reading 1000+ words per article.

I'm thinking about turning articles into wide-screen interactive slideshows with 20% text, 80% visual content, in order to make it more attractive to those who don't like to spend their whole day reading single article .

I feel this is may be something that worth working on
But really need to listen to your thoughts what do you think about it ?

I think instead of only focusing on slides you should mix it up. Like some posts are slides, some are infographics, some are text posts etc.
    That should work well.

Yeah i am agreed with Sagar, you should mix it up after all, content does matter a lot for any website.

If someone wastes all day reading a 1,000 word article then they have serious problems. On the same token, if you're writing content that you believe is a waste of time for your visitors, then you won't be successful anyways.

It doesn't matter how you provide your content. It can be text, images, videos, etc. What matters is whether or not that content provides value, and whether or not that type of content connects with your target audience.

Right. Reading a thousand word article might mean that you would
have to think about something. A video, or a visual interpretation of
something can go in one eye and out the other.

Bottom line is that visuals are "IN". It is a fact that more people
      are watching than reading.

That's the most important thing. However, you can always get creative! If you think it's more appealing to mix word content with presentations, videos or infographics, it's up to you. Just make your content valuable and engaging.

      Best of luck!

The thing is, you can't assume that no one wants to read a 1,000 page article. At the same time though, if you have a strong feeling that no one will read a 1,000+ page article either condense the information you're going to share so only the most important bits stay. Or, you can split the 1,000+ word article into multiple parts.

And, I like the slide idea but I don't know how well that would turn out when it comes to SEO.

Animated videos which are below 4 minutes in length should do fine as the content format. It's doing pretty good.

All day for a 1,000 word article? Seriously?

It shouldn't take more than 8-10 minutes even if your lips are moving while you read.

If people won't spend that much time reading something on a subject they're serious about, the problem lies with the article, not the reader.

That said, a solid wall of text can be intimidating. Break up the text with bullet lists, subheadings, graphics/images, tables/charts, etc.

Don't worry as much about length as content. It's a bit cliche, but it's also true. Your content should be like a woman's skirt - long enough to cover what needs to be covered, short enough to keep things interesting, and styled to gather the appropriate attention.

I could flip things on you here.

Who wants to page through an endless slide deck when they could skim a more traditional article for the useful bits in a few minutes?

I agree with George Schwab above. Visual content is what's in. That is why YouTube and Instagram are doing do well right now in terms of engagement. The same can be said for Facebook ads.

So that mixture of content seems good, but to exclusively only do slideshows would be a mistake. Since, images and articles can rank very well in the search engines also, you should forsake them so soon. Infographics would be great i think.

It looks like a good idea as long as you do proper SEO with a clear content link building strategy.

If you do that you will not have any problem. An idea is to write a transcript at the bottom of your slides/presentation so your audience will have the chance of either using the slides or reading the content.

This will benefit also your rankings and search engine rankings.

    Good look!

Don't just create slideshows, create a variety of different formats as different user prefer to consume the content differently.

So instead of just slideshows, make the video, article (posted on blogs), ebook, as well as email follow-up short courses. You can reach more people and increase your bottom line.

Images with a little text on it will not hurt. So a little bit of both will do.
Believe me, seeing a blog full of text hurts my eye but I will appreciate it if it comes with an image/video or anything that will caught my attention.

As with every tactic in marketing . . .

try what you want to see if it works. Test it on a valid sample size, track the results, then tweak the variables to optimize the response. Same for your method of delivering content.

Go with the things that work. Dump the things that don't work.

Don't rely on opinions and don't assume what's good for someone else's business is necessarily the right thing for your business.

You have a huge opportunity to create a free youtube account and post videos on your blog. Video engagement is massive and for building brands. It's 2016 and no better time. Start a youtube channel dedicated to SEO and start making short introductory posts about the video on your blog.

I'll read 100,000-word articles all day any day if at the end I get $2739.72. (Translation: A more interesting way of saying it ain't the length that matters, even if I say so.)

PS: in case you were wondering: that amount adds up to $1,000,000 a year, if you simply multiply it by 365.

Yeah it can be a real pain for the person on the other end to remain on track with what you're trying to say especially when majority of the content is text based. You can definitely make it interactive by making your content purely infographic or by making up an interactive video by being physically present yourself. The thing is that human mind is more receptive to anything that has some visual content attached with it and is more than likely to remember it for a longer period of time. Therefore my recommendation is to go for it. Good Luck.

In modern SEO, and after the panda update it is very important to update original and user engaging content which are relevant to your user's. So, it is very important to post a fresh content each day on your blog. If you post duplicate content after few days your blog must be penalized because nowadays Google algorithms are very strict anf the crawl your site or blog in real time.

Why fresh content is important nowadays:

    >> Fresh Content = Frequent Indexing
    >> Google Loves Frequent Updates
    >> When you publish new content, you present yet more opportunities for your site to contain more keywords. Keywords are high on the algorithm chart for search engine indexing and ranking.
    >> Keep Your Audience Informed and Updated
    >> Link-building Now Favors Fresh, Quality Content

I agrree with Gambino. If your content is good enough it will be successful. People are different. Some like reading, some like videos and some even like death by powerpoint. Can you do each article in different ways to suit all readers, watchers. You could even do an audible track for people to listen to whilst carrying on with something else.
