Hi,

Just about to embark on rebuilding an eCommerce site (Shopify). We've worked hard at the SEO of the site over the last couple of years, and now would like to take the opportunity as we rebuild it to take it to the next level.

Is it appropriate to ask for specific suggestions and advice for the particular website on this forum?

Thank you.

If you worked hard on SEO with it before, why not just do that again? Starting from scratch I'd try to cover everything as the site is built...
    1) All pages should have unique content
    2) All pages should utilize meta tags, and social media tags
    3) All images should use keywords in the title and contain alt tags
    4) All pages should utilize some heading tags
    5) Create URL friendly links for all pages/products
    6) Begin gradually building some quality incoming links
    7) Include social share buttons where appropriate (blog posts..etc)

If you do all of the above I'd say your site should be pretty well optimized. Just don't forget to do proper keyword research, and don't overdue with the keywords either.

Create a short 30 - 60 second video. It can be moving or images, doesn't matter.
Post the video on your website (preferably front page), post on your business YouTube channel and make sure your video title includes a search keyword string that your potential customer will search for. The point is- something that includes a widely used search keyword string, but specific, not general.
Include a back link on your Youtube video. By linking back to your website from your Youtube video, you can easily increase the ranking of your website.

For ecommerce the best way is ppc or paid marketing with display ads.

It is pretty hard to tell you what the "next level" is when we do not know what level it is at currently. Obviously, the next level could simply mean more and higher quality backlinks. You should also make sure you have done everything you can to make your pages as "SEO-Perfect" as you can. If you've done everything that is in this article, you've done practically everything you can do as far as on-page SEO goes.
