Which of these tags should I use for my blog post?

I'm having a hard time deciding on the tags to use with my blog posts (wordpress on my domains). It seems that every SEO expert has a different opinion on this...

First, how many tags should I add to each post? 3,5, 12?

Second, what is the best method to choose tags (in terms of SEO)? For example, I have a post targeting the keyword "get your ex back":

Option 1: Exact Keyword Long Tail
get your ex back
get your ex girlfriend back
get your ex boyfriend back
get your ex wife back
get your ex husband back


Option 2: Slightly Varied Long Tail
getting my ex back
how to get back with your ex
signs your ex wants you back
i want my ex back
getting back together with ex boyfriend


Option 3: Bo Broad
breakup advice
save my marriage
stop divorce
relationship problems


Option 4: Go Wild
play hard to get
don't beg her
dating new girls
sad songs for broken heart


Third, how do you find the terms to use for the tags? Google keyword tool? From the post itself?

Forth, what if I have many posts targeting similar long tail phrases on the same blog? Should I make sure the tags are different for each post, or could they be similar for all/some of the posts?

    You have tags and SEO mixed up.
    Tags are for internal use when searching for blogs.
    But, even then your post must have those in them.
    Tags are more for a "filing" system.
    Google does not care much, as tags can be misused.
    What matters, I assume, is the post title, the title and description
    of your blog, and the content of the blog.
    Not tags.
