Wordpress Posts or Pages for SEO?

I've got some wordpress Amazon autoblogs that just put up a new post every couple days or so, but now I want to try a stand alone Wordpress site with just 10 or 20 highlighted products. I'm wondering if I should configure the new site with 10/20 posts, or with 10/20 pages. What do people recommend for a site that will not change much over a month or two?

i always have a nr of pages (contact, privacy, terms etc.) and USUALLY also have the frontpage a static PAGE. Reason: If more than one post shows on the frontpage i am getting multiple H1 header tags which i dont.

And then i have my categories or whatever...and thats where i put normal articles in it as "posts" like in a drawer. So..if google spiders my "Whatever category" it will see the teasers/excerpts of the posts under that category.

(I had some blogs of mine where i had POSTS as front page (with one post my sticky frontpaeg post)..but then as said problem occurs that i got two H1 titles if a second post shows up on the frontpage...and i dont think its optimal)

If that's the problem, then I think the answer for you is easy. Just go change the H1 tag in your index.php and the problem solved.

It's important to have optimized theme for SEO. Most theme out there are not optimized, even the premium themes. PM me if you want to optimize your theme. I got a very unique way to optimize themes.

Like GeorgR, I use both. I like my blogs to be wide (several pages of actual content not just "about" and "privacy") and deep (the blog provides depth with categories that may have a dozen posts underdeath.) I also used a related posts plugin to set up internal backlinks. My reasoning is that it shows Google that the website is internally complex, which I'm hoping will result in an easier climb to rank.

If you want to build a site that only have 6 page, then it's good to build them on wordpress pages. I use this technique when I want to rank for a low competition keyword such amazon products.

But if you want to build larger site, you have to make them as posts. Otherwise, your blog will looks very weird, and not optimized.

    Just my experience.

posts and pages but try putting content as posts.

Make sure the slugs are correct as well as the category

Also make sure you have the right permalinks.

My website uses WordPress, but I think HTML far easier to use.
For example: IT Freelancer - Affordable SEO UK is WordPress, i'd recommend that over HTML anyday.
