I've got two language learning sites (one for English people to learn Spanish and one the other way round) which get about 60 or 70 clicks a day each. Most of this is generated via YouTube referrals and regular visitors. I earn £1-£4 a day, obviously small fry, but I would be extatic if I could get it to £10 a day. Because there is such huge competion in this field, is there any point in spending time on backlinks etc.. Can anyone suggest anything that would bring in more traffic?

Big thanks for any sugestions.

Try and do some keyword research into high search and low competition terms. This way if your site has any PR/Authority/Credibility etc you can use that to your advantage. I use MNF for my research but theres plenty of tools out there.

After you've identified your terms, just keep adding content and building backlinks to your site. I tend to use article marketing, rss feeds and social bookmarking and some forum profiles, that works really well for me.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
