Rank 3 but no traffic

It Could be that the listing provided by google (And ultimately yourself) is not related to the search term.

So while you appear as result 3 the text in the title and description do not appear relevant.

Just an idea

  More deep pages.. Write more articles about semantically related keywords, stick a link at the bottom to your affiliate program, or to the review page on your site.
  
  Mix it up, keep testing... You can just write small articles if you don't have much time, just something to give Google more of a reason to come to your site.
  
  15k Still means 100 HITS /day on that ONE keyword... Not to mention if you make LSI posts you're going to see even more traffic.
  
  Also instead of testing different Title and Description to try and get a better CTR... Build more links... It could take a week for Google to update your SERP Title and Des. in the results!
  
  Just keep pumping and pumping links until you get to rank 1... But worry about the dumb "Google Sandbox", just don't spam blogs... and build good links to web 2.0s, forums, etc.

Maybe that keyword was searched through "Broad" category, try to do "Exact" match. Some keywords show 100k per month search as "broad" but when you try thet "exact" match it only shows 540 month searches.

Wow, thanks a lot for your post. Yes, i was looking at "broad" match, but now i looked at "exact" match and still get 15k local and 25k global searches.

I will test few new titles and descriptions, maybe with them i will be able to get a way better CTR. Thanks everyone.

Can this keyword really get 40'000 searches per month? Where to find this data?
If this search data is from AdWords, I will have to tell you that the data there is not accurate all the time.

So the keyword says 40,000 searches a month in google and you are getting 200 per month? Have you looked at trends for the term? If the searches per month are correct, you could have a poor title tag that is pushing visitors away and significantly decreasing your CTR to your site.

No, the term has been searched 30k-45k every month for past few years...

As i already mentioned in the first post, i used different proxies, browsers also, i used websites like scroogle, most of time my rankings was shown as 3rd.

If you ranking 3 and getting 200 people out of 40000, then see if you can improve the layout,structure and colour of your site. Then I hope you wll have your fair share
of visitors.

You are telling the global search volume and your page has been rank with a particular geographical area not worldwide. That is reason you are getting less traffic on your website. Try to check your SERP on different region like US, UK etc and hope you will get the picture.

Global search volume is not worldwide. It's the average monthly searches in your country/region. Local is the searches from the previous month.

Hold your mouse over it and look for yourself
