Hey Friends,

I am stuck on #8 on Google for a keyword search. I had done more bookmarks for that site, Still I could not move. Actually, that is very competitive keyword. I had applied the article marketing which only brought me from #55 to #8.

Apart from these, I had used blog comments, forums postings and link exchanges (very few) too.

So, how to move from # 8? Is there anyone had got the same case? To overcome, what did you do?
Thanks,

Yeah, that is what often happens, these positions are extremely competitive and you need to have patience and work hard to get to the top.

just keep at it. It'll move eventually.

Also, your competitors might be building links faster so that might affect it as well.

You have a lot of choices when it comes to obtaining hits to your web site. Blog messages, forum profiles, forums posts, YouTube videos, pay per click adverts, organic searches and much more. The number of choices can be overwhelming to novice Internet marketers and website proprietors. You may be questioning yourself, "Which one of these approaches work?". They all work.

    Hi,

How about focussing on your other "valueable" keywords in conjunction with the one that does not move easily.

The combined effort may change things for you.

Top 10 positions are not easy to acheive and once you have got that then you have to work daily then only you can get better ranking than that. Quality backlinks can help you to get better ranking..

I would suggest you to perform competitive analysis..See where your competitors are getting links from and try link building on these websites.

I think your competitor are doing better work then you. First off all do proper link building and do lots of off page optimization. It's really best for your site. Do more and more work but use only white hat seo technique. Do social bookmarking and RSS Feed. Your site content must be unique and also useful to readers.
