I want to WOW a client to get him listed #1 for a keyword phrase BUT...

1) How do I do this the quickest way possible (if my clients name is Ray) and I use the headline to say something like " Hey...Ray....are you starting to see the power of what I can do for you. Give me a call at XXX - XXX-XXXX. Thoughts?

2) Also..lets say the keyword phrase is the clients name like Ray Thompson....and I tell Ra to type up his name on Google...and he sees the message from #1 above....the question is....HOW IN THE HECK...can i remove this link or alter it so google will "reindex" the message I really want to put in there...which is promoting my client Ray Thompson.

Thoughts/Advice/Opinions ?

    Just rewrite the decription in the meta tags and ping it...like using www.pingler.com will do the job.

    Funny...would love to be the fly on the monitor when he:

    1. Searches for his name

    2. Sees number listing saying:

    Hey Ray Thompson
    If you, Ray Thompson, had contacted me and hired my services last week, you would have been holding more money in your hand today. Call xxx-xxxx and I'll see what I can do for you!
    www.yourdomainname.com/ray_thompson.html

    Actually...it would be really easy to do. I have to admit that I hadn't thought about doing something like this before to capture leads. You got my wheels turning now though!

      1) Since I don't have access to his website ...I would need to get free blog or develop a website to do this...using his website as the page (to get his attention for this strategy) is not an option. But the question I have for you is this: What type of description would you recommend to put in the description area of the blog or website?

      2) Once this is done (and lets say Ray Thompson wants to secure his name in the #1 position in Google and replace yours) HOW WOULD YOU REMOVE YOUR WEBSITE FOR THE #1 POSITION?....AND THEN THE IDEA IS TO REPLACE YOUR URL WITH HIS MONEY SITE.

      3) How does Blog and Ping Tool - Use Pingler.com to Drive Traffic your Blogs and Websites work? How many pings does it take to get #1 typically?

        You don't need access to his server or his anything. You don't need a blog or other hosting other than your own either. Just one highly optimized folder will do the job beautifully.

        You got a simple letter you want him to read when he arrives on the page?

        After all is said and done, you can either remove the folder (reuse it for someone else :rolleyes or setup a temparary redirect til his site/page can take over.

        Pinging just simply notifies the engines that they need to either update or index a page. Optimization is what will get you on the top fast. And...because it is a name...it won't be diffecult at all. One link from a good pr page will even get you there if you optimize the page good. (hint: it ain't just the content that needs to be optimized in this case. Although...not as diffecult as it sounds.)

        Tell ya what...pm me...and i'll do the folder up so that all you have to do is upload it and your done...i'll ping it and throw some fairy dust on it. It'll be fun! But.........you write the letter to him...I'll seo it.

    LOL, now all "big names" are going to see messages written to them by marketers when they plug their names into Google.

    ^^^ It isn't the pings that get you listed high. Pinging just informs spiders you have updated your site I think, so they come back and reindex!

    To get higher in Google you need to get links to your site. Social Bookmarking can give you a lot of linkage pretty quickly if you use an automated service like SocialMarker!

      Out of curiosity, I'm sure you can do this for any keyword phrase outside their name...this seems to be common sense but thought I would double check.

      Also, tell me about Social Marker -- how do they auotmate the linkage in Social Marker? Is it difficult to learn?

        Hi Chris,

        If you get a page on your own website to rank number #1 for your prospects name, then you can simply do a 301 Permanent Redirect to your new clients website when he signs up for your service.

        I think many prospective clients may take offense to this approach as they will feel coerced into your services.

        I, for one, will be interested to hear how your prospective client responds to this approach.
