I am not a member of adsense yet so bare with me.

Do i choose what type of ad's i want to promote or are they just random ad's? What determines how much they will pay out for a click?

Does my website have to be about certain subjects? Or am i able to create a website on absolutley anything as long as the search numbers are there?

you can choose the ad sizes and colours and fonts etc.... the ads displayed will be related to the content of your web page. If the page is about dog food then the ads will most likely be related to dog food.

For the payout of each click, it will has to see if there are advertisers bidding for it. The more advertisers, the higher the payout. You will get 68% of what the advertiser pay for each click.

If you check in Google Adwords Keyword Tool (you'll need to be logged in), it has a "Approximate CPC" column that shows you an estimate of the cost-per-click for that particular keyword.

would i get the whole of that number or half of it?

So the aim is to find keywords. Then google will pay me if that keyword brought traffic to my site and the visitor clicked a link?

Well... how much of that you would actually get varies considerably. First, it's not an exact amount that advertisers pay, it's an *estimate. And second, Google takes an undisclosed % off of that, probably not as much as half, though.

Yes, the idea is to build sites that have a decent cost per click (CPC). The higher the CPC, the more you will earn for every click from your site.

Adsense finds ads related to your content. You can specify the ad channel, and disable ads from being placed on your site.

I learned on the adsense 101 bootcamp an interesting way to choose keywords based on some simple research. I do not even look at my keyword tool until I have my list first. It is really working for me now I have some keywords I would not even have noticed with market samurai. My website is doing well because of this.

That totally depends, and that's where the practice/experience comes in. There's no specific number that will give you an answer. Obviously, the ideal would be a very high CPC, and very low competition.

Something like mesothilioma has astronomical CPCs but high competition and low search volume. On the other hand, entertainment news has low CPCs but huge search volume. So the goal is to find the right mix where you can profit.

Thats the thing it does not really matter so much about numbers. I find phrases that are interesting to my niche and then use SEO competition in MS to see what my competition are doing.

What is it that MS allows you to look at? I am using niche finder and i dont think there is any options for this type of thing.

I read on the forum alot that for a adsense webisite its important to get the keyword in your url. What if i create a 10 page website. Each page focuses on something different. Is this ok for adsense or is it best if we attack the same similiar keyword over and over.

If its ok to have 10 different subjects would i be ok to just name the site something that loosely covers all of the info on the site. Or am i missing out big time by not have a keyword in the url?
