Tracking clicks for masked url's
- SEO |
I'm using Google analytics and have a little question about tracking clicks. I am an affiliate and I want to track, how many people are clicking on my affiliate links (and for which keywords those people have found my website). My links are masked, so visitors see www.maysite.com/affiliatelink.html instead of www.partnerwebsite/affiliates...
I've used a software so far to hide my affiliate links, but unfortunately I'm unable to insert the analytics code into the page the software creates for me. This means that I can set up /affiliatelink.html as a goal within analytics, but Google is not able to track clicks for me.
Do you have any solution for this? I'm not very familiar with php, but I guess you can somehow easily create a masked redirect that contains the tracking code.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers
Dave.
