Problem indexing site

Hi,

I have a wordpress blog which google so far has not been indexed.

I have verified ownership in webmaster tools and submitted the sitemap and even used the "fetch as googlebot" feature to index it. This was 6 days ago and nothing. I can see that 11 google bots have visited the site. Nothing indexed. I have had no negative feedback from google about the site. Usually all my wordpress sites are indexed within 24 hrs maximum. I have 42 sites.

Does anybody have any ideas of what i can do either within webmaster tools or if i can try another way.

Any help would be appreciated : )

You from Leeds? If you are, it's good to see a fellow Leeds man like myself in the Warrior Forum.

Anyway... There's a option within WP that allows you to stop search engines indexing your Blog, so make sure you've turned it on so it can get indexed by Search engines.

If that's okay, then try blasting it with loads of bookmarking links. That normally helps.

OP never answered this WP related question (did they?).

Also double check your not blocking the SERPs with a meta tag in the source code of the html, I've seen this happen many times.

    Hi,

It has 6 unique articles, 500 words long and i used onlywire to bookmark 3 days ago.

I have noticed that there seems to be some cached titles (info from statpress plug-in) from someone who previously had the domain which i think was a html site.

If google had a problem with the previous site can that cause problems indexing this new site ?

Add more pinging URLs to your Wordpress blog and make 1-2 more posts.

And then just go and Digg the website manually. Should do the trick.

Use unique and original content in your site. And then make some good backliks with high PR, relevant and DoFollow sites, which are in the same niche. Also share your links in popular social networking sites. This will help you indexing your sits very quickly.

Go to Profit Instruments: Quick Index Tool to create statistical backlinks for quicker indexing. Also, bookmark your site at digg. Then search for your url in quotes in google to see if it's indexed.

After posting a blog on your wordpress account, after 1-2 hrs from the posting go a google search. write your keyword or title in the search bar as----> "Keyword" , remember, use qoutes with your keywords. After that, in the left hasn side, there are some options like pages from UK, more search options.. click on more search options.. select past 1 hour option.. if you can see your post in teh search results, google has indexed your blog..

Just in case anyone mentions it again, the site is NOT blocking search engines and does NOT have noindex set.

The site has six 500 word original articles. On page seo is spot-on. i have tried everything i can think of.

Submitted sitemap in Google webmaster, social bookmarked, pinged, link in signature on here etc. Nothing. Bit baffled to be honest

I use pingomatic and usually get faster results, then I'll ping all my other pages at bulkping. I noticed you only have 1 keyword "Best Laundry Detergent" in your keyword metatag. Place a few more in there. Fix that and ping it all pages. Also note, you have 340 characters in your meta description, little too long. (that part won't hurt)

One of the quickest ways of indexing a site is to put Google Analytics on it. Shortly after teh analytics bot arrives, the googlebot shows up.

The other way is to tweet your link (and have your followers retweet it to help you). G loves twitter and lives on there, so they index links posted almost immediately.

As a thought, could there be problems if someone else had the URL before which i am absolutely certain was the case ? I assume they dropped it as i found the URL by searching and it was available. Any thoughts ?

I notice you are a War Room member. TrafficMystic gives away his "fast indexing software" in there and it's very good I use it all the time. If you use that on the middle (3,000) setting and the site still doesn't get indexed within 24 hours there is definitely something wrong.
