How to rank well within Document Sharing Sites

Hi everybody,

I'm in the process of writing a series of PDF mini-ebooks about travelling (kind of "short travel guides"), which will contain affiliate links and I want to upload them to leading Document Sharing Sites like Scribd and Docstoc, although hyperlinks do not work in those sites, unless you actually download the document (which I hope many viewers will do :rolleyes

My questions are :

1) How do you rank well within those sites ? For example: If a visitor to Scribd looks for articles about "New York day tours" and there are more than a few results, how do I ensure MY article will be at the top of the list ?

2) What are the best websites, according to your experience, to place those mini-travel-ebooks ?

Thanks, Roni

    Hi Naren,

Thank you for your reply, I would kindly like to ask you two small questions:

    1) What do you refer to as regular activity ? Do you mean I should regularly upload dox, or is it enough to regularly comment on other people's stuff ?

    2) any tips on how to get people to follow you on Scribd or Docstoc ?

    Thanks, Roni
