Ahrefs vs MajesticSEO?

I want to make a choice, which one would you recommend?

I have been using SEOSpyglass and now I want to try either Ahrefs or Majestic SEO.

Tried the free versions of both and I think that's not enough to make the decision.

Thanks!

Majestic SEO? I think a cool feature would be to find the " add a link" or "add your link" to all sites your competitor has ...

Majestic SEO has some amazing competition analyzing tools. If you need to take out some big competition, majestic SEO could give you the 1 up pretty easily.

    it is expensive though.

I'm a firm believer in MajesticSEO. I've found SEOmoz is a hoax. I've used the free version of Ahrefs and wasn't impressed.

Well, I know that MajesticSEO has the largest linkscape database of anybody else on the web (except Google, of course), including SEOmoz and Ahrefs. So I'd go with MajesticSEO - I used them awhile ago and was really please with their service. Very powerful stuff.

Although I confess to being less than educated on the intricacies of Ahrefs.

I use majestic. If you pass your daily limit, just use some proxy site by searching "anonymous surfing" on google. (Search for Hide my a**)

This is a great article with full analysis that compares SEOmoz, MajesticSEO and Ahrefs. According to them, MajesticSEO is the best:

Ahrefs has some capabilities Majestic doesn't. Monitors SERPs like SEMRush does.

Majestic is better for pure backlink analysis though.

I'm curious, why are you moving away from Spy Glass?

In all honesty, I usually use them all. I take all the links from Majestic and Ahrefs and import them into SpyGlass. Then I use SpyGlass to analyze all the links. It is about as complete of a picture as you can get.
