Authority site.

Which is better when it comes to SEO and income, focusing on one niche for example - forex?

Or, do a general site like ezine articles - health, technology, self improvement, etc.?

1 niche is always the best course. Go general and you'll spend yourself too thin and won't go anywhere.

im going with focused niche if you dont have sufficient resource..
the general niche will take a very long time to get ranking and authorities, its much more harder since you will be competing with any other big names.

Focused niche is always preferred. But you can opt some general sites if you don't have more niche sites.
