I've been asked to manage a clients PPC Campaign, I have no idea what the industry standard rates are for managed PPC Campaigns are, I was hoping someone might be able to give me an idea.

Do I change him a surplus per click ie: cost plus 10-20% ? A monthly flat rate, if so how much?

Just looking to know what everyone else does...

    Hi meriad,

The standard rates do tend to vary by country, but the industry standard rate is 15% of the ad budget for full service agencies in the USA. However, there are some folks that do little more than set and forget, they don't actively manage the campaigns, they charge less, but deliver far less. Any one hiring PPC managers need to be wary of cheap PPC services as they usally cost you far more than you could ever hope to save on fees.

A lot of people are snookered by those incompetent PPC managers that do not do half of what they should be doing and still charge 10%. I know, I have had to clean up after many of such poorly managed accounts.

Thanks for the info, my guess of 15% was right on the money then.

I know what you mean about poorly managed PPC Campaigns. I've run enough of them to know, they need daily TLC.

The account I'll probably be taking over hasn't been managed properly, so it should be interesting....
