I have registered a domain with Google, but they renew it for 1 year only, so I wish to transfer to godaddy, ownership will remain same, Just registrar will be different, in that case will I loose my SEO activity?

Because my Keywords are ranking well!

This is worrying and bothering me a lot!

SEO depends on the content of your site, the quality of back links etc etc. Once you transfer the domain, you need to change the name servers in your web hosting account. The quality of your site will not be affected at all.

p.s: In case Google holds a grudge for this sort of thing, they may be bitter

Your rankings should remain the same.
    But ,
    you never know with SEO.

After all, a few days ago,
a lot of our rankings got killed
    by google and dropped drastically.

    Oh yeah, transfer to namecheap,
I use them and can guarantee they are good.

Godaddy has a few issues with all internet marketers
so I would not recommend it.

Check out the posts a few months
back and you will understand what I mean.

My rankings also dropped to nothing. The only thing I changed was adding webmaster tools. Any insight would be appreciated.

This should not have any effect (i.e which registrar you are using) on your search rankings as far as you are keeping your domain and url structure intact. Otherwise all sites will loose their ranking while changing registrars (i.e during trading).

The domain was pushed through godaddy. I really don't get it..

Your rankings should remain unchanged. But the current state of G and the SEO world, one can never know. Good luck.

In my experience, you should be fine, just make sure that your down time is limited. As soon as you purchase the new hosting, change the name servers, they say that it will take 24-48 to change the name servers... I usually see it done within 12hrs then you're back up and running

I would be a bit wary of letting Google hold too much info

Your SERPS will not be affected by the transfer. I just did one two weeks ago with no downtime and no SERP drop. I had the nameservers in position at the new registrar waiting for the transfer to complete. No problem mon. Sorry, lol, just got back from Jamaica.
