Hi guys,

I've been reading a lot of threads about people getting automated messages in their Google Webmasters dashboard telling them to remove their links from sites. Even though those sites have been de-indexed or de-valued.

Personally, I wouldn't remove any of those links just yet. Here's why:

On another note, if those links have really been discounted because the site has been de-indexed or de-valued, there's not really a reason to remove them anyway.

As several SEO experts have suggested, Google is smart enough to know that they're coming from de-indexed sites anyway. So why remove them? Or are they?

I got a message today, I agree it's pointless doing anything. They sent me a message saying one of my sites was too thin, to clean it up and resubmit it, put they pumped it 3 weeks ago?? I don't know how their "fantastic" software can determine that users on the site were not happy and has no value to the end user, they have not even looked at it..
