Impact of "Do not track" enabled by default on IE10?

So microsoft declared to enable the "do not track" feature by default on its upcoming IE10. does this mean that any advertising companies like google, facebook and others will not be able to trace anything about what we are viewing on the internet? will they be able to trace our ip address after this?

This question is not about SEO but i'm so happy that microsoft is making an effort to tear apart big G's monopoly. and also bing decided to use facebook likes on their search results just as google uses google plus's "+1" button.

is this the beginning of the end of google's era? :p this question might be stupid but still i'm happy that i asked.

I've spent the last 59 months building 412 MFA sites. Each site averages 8 cents per day...I said average, some make up to 17 cents per day, PASSIVE INCOME! This income allows me to live comfortably and buy ANY flavor Jolly Rancher or Skittles I desire. Don't give in to fear, it CAN be done!

In practice it's impossible to block cookies - so many sites just don't work without cookies, people will soon get sick of opting in to EVERY SINGLE cookie that they will just enable cookies permanently.

    Especially IE users
