Static homepage or blog homepage for Wordpress?

Hey guys! Whats better, having the blog as the homepage (default) or having a static page as the home page?

I am mostly interested in the SEO benefit.

    It really depends, if its a website you are going to write regularly on and update then I strongly suggest having a dynamic (eg: the posts) frontpage.

    A static front page is more useful for sites that provide static information that isn't likely to get updated, like smaller adsense sites, sales pages and so on.

    mine is static... go for static if your not into posting 2 much. you can always edit the static page to whatever. and from what i hear its better for seo because you can control keyword density.

    Generally go for static, as the blog post version creates duplicate content.
