Pre-launch SEO strategy: benchmarking oDesk contractor productivity?

My team is launching a travel activities booking website and as we develop the site structure and content I want to make sure we consider SEO throughout the process.
After familiarizing myself with the basics of SEO, White Hat practices as well as the Panda/Penguin updates I have decided to try to find a few outsourced SEO contractors on oDesk to help me with keyword research for about ~300 travel activities that will each have their own landing page. The goal is to use their research as a starting point for me to then review and finalize a single keyword/phrase to focus each activities pages towards with good content and structure. Once the site goes live we can then optimize from there.
For those of you who have used outsourced contractors of this type, what is a good benchmark level of productivity for this type of research? (e.g., #hrs to research one set of keywords)
